The original Skylanders were the Giants, who united their powers to defeat the Arkeyan King ten thousand years ago. For instance this may involve pulling two floating islands together, or lifting walls of logs. Giants are required at certain moments to complete feats of strength that provide access to the next level in the game world. They can also destroy crates, Chompies, and other objects that may contain coins just by walking on them.Īn important ability only used by the Giants is the Feats of Strength. While normal Skylanders can only destroy rocks with the help of bombs or cannons, Giants can do so with their bare hands without the use of powerups. The graph below charts the compatibility with Skylanders: Giants since Dolphin's 2.0 release, listing revisions only where a compatibility change occurred.Giants wield great strength, giving them the ability to lift, throw, and destroy trees, towers, rocks, and other things that normal Skylanders can't destroy. No configuration changes are known to affect compatibility for this title. There are no reported problems with this title. You cannot use a physical portal and an emulated portal at the same time. After doing this, the Portal of Power will work in Dolphin just fine whenever plugged in. Follow the same install instructions for the GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U but instead of selecting "WUP-028" in the pulldown menu, use "Spyro Portal".
If you wish to use a physical Portal of Power you can do so by installing the proper libusb drivers with Zadig. Up to eight figurine data dumps can be used at a time. If you have a physical Portal of Power and wish to continue off of saved progress in your existing figurines, you can use third party dumping tools to dump the figure data off of your existing Skylanders figures for use in the emulated Portal or create IDs directly within the emulated Portal of Power.
As of Dolphin 5.0-18299 you can choose to emulate this USB device directly within the emulator. Skylanders: Giants requires a USB device called the Portal of Power.
